The container is made of "VISION GLASS" from BOROSIL, an Indian manufacturer of laboratory glass. Because it is heat-resistant, you can remove the wax by boiling it in hot water after using the candle, and then use it as a glass or a small item holder.

"Soy candles" are candles made from vegetable oil (wax) derived from soybeans.

Compared to paraffin (petroleum-derived) and beeswax, it has a lower melting point, so the entire candle melts when lit and has a longer burn time. It also produces less soot when the flame goes out and is free of harmful substances, making it safe for small children and pets.
